MO: Producers' Choice Soy Energy to Invest $15M in Facility; Create 21 New Jobs
Blunt announces new jobs coming to Moberly

Gov. Matt Blunt announced that Producers' Choice Soy Energy LLC has been awarded $233,540 in Enhanced Enterprise Zone tax credits for the creation of 21 new manufacturing jobs paying an average wage of $40,729 annually.

“This is exciting news for Moberly and I am pleased we were able to help bring these new jobs to the region,” Blunt said. “We have successfully stimulated economic growth in Missouri bio-fuels making our state a recognized leader in this burgeoning field. We look forward to building on our partnership with Producers' Choice Soy and wish them continued success as they move forward.”

Producers' Choice Soy will also invest $15 million in their facility on West Fowler Road in return for assistance from the state.

Gov. Blunt was the first Missouri governor to recommend and secure full funding for both the ethanol and bio-diesel producer incentive funds. He has also worked to secure back payments due to farmers from the ethanol producer fund in prior years. His establishment of a 10 percent ethanol standard will spur growth in rural communities and reduce dependence on foreign oil.
