NY: Starline USA to Expand Operations; Add 41 Jobs; Invest $2.1M

ESD ANNOUNCES STARLINE USA, INC. TO EXPAND WITH NEW INVESTMENT AND JOBS

New Jobs Coming to Grand Island

Empire State Development today announced that Starline USA, Inc., a supplier in marketing and promotional items, will purchase new equipment and expand its operations in Grand Island, New York to accommodate future growth.  The foreign trade zone in Grand Island will allow the company to minimize tariff costs.

Starline USA will invest $2.1 million in capital to the project. A $275,000 capital grant to be awarded by Empire State Development will help to alleviate costs.  The company will retain its current workforce of 121 positions and pledges to add 41 new jobs.  The average annual wage of these jobs will be $40,000.

“Starline enjoys the geographic opportunity provided by Western New York to produce and ship over 40% of our production easily and cost effectively into Canada,” said Starline USA, Inc. President Daniel A. Norris.  “The commitments made by New York State along with our committed and stable workforce encouraged us to expand this facility rather than other locations evaluated.”

Founded in 1992, Starline USA Inc. is related to Starline Industries of Concord, Ontario, Canada, which was founded in 1969.  Starline USA adds emblems, logos and lettering to marketing and promotional items that are used by companies and institutions world-wide.
Empire State Development is New York’s chief economic development agency, encompassing business, workforce and community development.  ESD also oversees the marketing of “I LOVE NY,” the State’s iconic tourism brand.  For more information, visit
