DES MOINES, Iowa, Oct. 1 /PRNewswire/ -- The Technology Association of Iowa (TAI), the largest member-based, not-for-profit organization accelerating the success of Iowa's technology industry, today announced the launch of HyperStream, a potential national model for technology career awareness aimed specifically at Iowa. HyperStream is a program that recruits technology companies based in the state of Iowa to serve as ambassadors to middle-school and high-school students to encourage young adults to pursue tech related careers in Iowa. Currently, Iowa has more than 10,000 tech related job vacancies, and in the next 10 years, the number is projected to grow significantly. Companies such as Google(TM) and Microsoft(R), which will soon open multibillion dollar database farms in the State of Iowa, are examples of Iowa's burgeoning tech industry that is in desperate need of skilled workers.
