New manufacturing facility expected to bring dozens of jobs to Georgetown County
The South Carolina Department of Commerce and Georgetown County announced Tuesday that Turnstyle Enterprises will open its new manufacturing facility in Georgetown County.
Turnstyle Enterprises manufactures and sells gate systems for residential and commercial properties. The company’s headquarters and sales offices are currently located in Georgetown, and the new manufacturing facility will be located on Pawley’s Island. The Department of Commerce says the $800,000 investment is expected to bring 37 new jobs.
In a press release, Joe Taylor, Secretary of Commerce, said: “Turnstyle Enterprises uses its innovative technology to design and produce a range of automatic and manual gate opening and mounting systems.
The company’s decision to further invest in South Carolina by establishing a manufacturing facility is a positive reflection of the state’s workforce and business-friendly climate.
We wish Turnstyle Enterprises continued success and look forward to a long and mutually beneficial relationship with them in the years ahead.”
No word, yet on when the new facility is scheduled to open.
