NY: Nature’s Bounty to Invest $142M, Hire157, Retain 2,042 at 11 Long Island Sites

Empire State Development announced that a leading global wellness company, The Nature’s Bounty Co., will create 157 new jobs and retain 2,042 jobs as part of a major expansion and modernization of its corporate headquarters and manufacturing operations on Long Island.

The Nature’s Bounty Co. has operated on Long Island since 1971, and contributes an estimated $300 million to the local and state economy through salaries and purchases of raw materials and services from a broad set of local suppliers. Headquartered in Ronkonkoma, Suffolk County, with 2,042 employees across its 11 facilities on Long Island, the company sells its products in 110 countries around the globe under such well-known brands as Nature’s Bounty, Sundown Naturals, Solgar, Pure Protein and MET-Rx. 

To encourage The Nature’s Bounty Co.  to expand on Long Island, Empire State Development offered the company a grant of up to $25 million, as well as up to $8.5 million in performance-based tax credits through the Excelsior Jobs Program and $1.5 million in tax credits through the Employee Training Incentive program. Over the next year, the company will create 157 new jobs and retain 2,042 jobs, while investing over $142 million to modernize and expand its Long Island operations and consolidate China and California operations into its Long Island facilities.
