FL: Hotwire Communications to Hire 375, Invest $27M, Relocate HQ to Florida

Sep 16, 2016

Governor Rick Scott announced that Hotwire Communications, one of the nation’s leading fiber optics telecommunications providers, will open its new headquarters -the Hotwire Technology Center- in Ft. Lauderdale. The headquarters is a relocation from Pennsylvania to Florida and will create 375 new jobs for families in Ft. Lauderdale. The company will also invest more than $27 million in the local community. Hotwire Communications currently employs 300 Floridians.

Governor Scott said, “I am proud to announce today that Hotwire Communications moved its headquarters from Pennsylvania to Florida and will be creating 375 new Florida jobs. The new headquarters will also more than double their workforce in our state, which is great news for our families. Last year, I led a business development mission to Pennsylvania to share why Florida is the best location for businesses to grow. Because of our low taxes and business-friendly policies, I am glad to make this big announcement following last year’s trip.”
