IN: Wolf Envelope to Expand; Create 26 New Jobs; Invest $1.8M
Envelope Company to Grow Its Angola Operation

Wolf Envelope announced it will make a multi-million dollar investment to its production center here, increasing its capacity and creating 26 new jobs.

The envelope giant will invest more than $1.8 million dollars over the next four years to add new high-speed color jet printers to its 90,000 square-foot production facility here.

"Wolf Envelope's continued growth is a great sign that the business environment we have created is supportive of growing companies," said Nathan Feltman, Indiana Secretary of Commerce and chief executive officer of the Indiana Economic Development Corporation.

Headquartered in Troy, Mich., Wolfe Envelope employs 82 associates in Angola and will begin hiring new associates later this year.  The Angola operation is the company's primary manufacturing facility where it produces more than 1 billion envelopes every year.

"We are excited to continue our growth in Indiana with the support of the state and local community," said Larry Eiden, plant manager of Wolf Envelope's Angola facility.  "This partnership will allow us to break into new markets, and offer more opportunities to the work force."

The Indiana Economic Development Corporation offered Wolf Envelope up to $100,000 in performance-based tax credits and up to $58,000 in training grants based on the company's announced job creation plans.  The City of Angola will provide property tax abatement, and Steuben County Economic Development Corporation assisted with the effort.

"This is a real shot in the arm for our community and our economy," said Angola Mayor Richard Hickman.  "Wolf Envelope has been a great corporate partner for this community. I want to thank the Indiana Economic Development Corp. and the Steuben County Economic Development Corp. for helping with this project. We welcome Wolf's continued commitment to Angola and our workforce."
