Metalworx Inc. Announces New Facility in Dorchester County Investment expected to bring 25 new jobs to the area The South Carolina Department of Commerce and Dorchester County announced that Metalworx Inc. will locate its new facility in Dorchester County. The $2.3 million investment is expected to generate 25 new jobs over the next five years. “We are pleased to move forward with our expansion plans in Summerville. Our company has had great success in South Carolina during the past few years, and this expansion will help us meet growing customer demand. We appreciate all the support we’ve received from state and local officials,” said Michael Sawer, president of Metalworx Inc. The company will expand its operations in Dorchester County with a new facility that will allow it to streamline processes and add capabilities. Metalworx Inc.’s new facility will be about 24,000 square feet and be located next to its production plant in Summerville.
