# KY: Publix to Open New Grocery Store in Owensboro, With 150 Jobs

Publix Super Markets will open a new store in Owensboro, Ky., which is expected to employ about 150 associates, the company said. The new 50,325-square-foot store will be at the northwest corner of Pleasant Valley Road and Hayden Road.

Publix first entered the Kentucky market with a store in Louisville. The grocer said in January that it plans to open five more locations in Louisville, Lexington, and Walton.

Publix has about 1,400 locations across eight states. A timeframe for the opening of the new Owensboro store has not yet been announced.
