MD: Mulch Company Expansion Bringing Pay Dirt to State

Nov 14, 2018

International Mulch Co. is expanding and moving to 154,868-square-feet of warehouse space in Halethorpe, Maryland.

This information came from the following article in the Baltimore Business Journal:

The company — rebranded this year as IMC Outdoor Living — takes old tires and other rubber items and recycles them into playground and landscaping mulch recently leased space in a new industrial complex at 2209 Sulpher Spring Rd. The St. Louis-based company had been located in a warehouse facility at 2015 Washington Blvd.

The new warehouse is located off Interstates 95 and 695 that was purchased last December for $13.4 million by the O'Donnell Group. An additional 160,000 square feet of space in the complex is available. JLL is leasing the property originally built in the Southwest Baltimore County suburbs in 1991.

“International Mulch Co. has had a long-time presence in Maryland,” said Tyler Boykin, vice president at JLL, who was on a team that brokered the deal. “We know that their move into Baltimore County at 2209 Sulphur Spring will allow them superior access to I-695 and I-95, while allowing them expansion capability for the future.”

Tyler Boykin and Dave Dannenfelser of JLL also worked on the deal and CBRE’s Mike Roden represented International Mulch Co.
