T Top Manufacturing, a metal fabricator specializing in aluminum and stainless steel production, recently opened its new facility in Bridgeport, Texas. The 47,000-square-foot tilt wall, climate controlled manufacturing plant and corporate headquarters is located in Endeavor Bridgeport, a 1.235-acre industrial/business park.

Mark Tate, owner of T Top, said, “We are excited to be at our new location in Bridgeport, and can’t wait to expand again soon.”

The company committed to building the manufacturing facility, applying for a $249,000 Texas Capital Fund Grant, and bringing 40 employees to Bridgeport.

“The Tate Family embraced the Endeavor Bridgeport vision and never looked back,” said William Myers, Executive Director of the Bridgeport Economic Development Corporation. “They have been a pleasure to work with since preliminary negotiations.”

The Texas Economic Development Council (TEDC) recently recognized the City of Bridgeport as a 2011 Recipient for “Exemplary Achievement in Community Economic Development.” The award was based on the collaboration of Endeavor Bridgeport and T Top Manufacturing to relocate the T Top plant into Endeavor Bridgeport’s new mixed use industrial and recreational development.

Endeavor Bridgeport began when the Bridgeport Economic Development Corporation (BEDC) purchased a 900-acre, abandoned rock quarry. The BEDC partnered with Jerome Frank Investments to develop a vision for the sustainable use of industrial, recreational and commercial development. The partnership proposed a 1,235 acre tax increment reinvestment zone (TIF No. 2) and provided infrastructure to the site.

“The BEDC would not have been able to set our development goals and sustainability efforts as high without the collaboration of Jerome Frank Investments,” said Myers. “Jerry’s interest in redefining rural development and development in general, has been an inspiration.”
