WV: Buzz Products Meat Distributor Receives $500,000 in WVCAP Funding, Retaining 115 Jobs

The West Virginia Capital Access Program (WVCAP) approved a loan of $500,000 for Buzz Products, LLC., a wholesale meat distributor in Charleston, West Virginia.

The WVCAP funding is supporting the acquisition of a fellow locally-owned meat distributor, S.S. Logan Packing Co., and is expected to result in the retention of 115 West Virginia jobs.

Buzz Products, locally owned and operated since 1938, provides specialty meats and focuses  on providing superior proteins, personalized service and a selection of complementary products. 

Huntington-based S.S. Logan Packing Company was founded in 1925.

“WVCAP provides financial resources for West Virginia companies to not only create jobs but also keep jobs in the state,” said Andy Zulauf, Executive Director at the West Virginia Jobs Investment Trust (WVJIT). “This program’s ease of use and accessibility presents a great opportunity for companies looking to travel throughout the state.”

WVCAP provides West Virginia small businesses with capital to invest, expand, and create jobs. WVCAP is designed to assist credit-worthy companies that may not fit traditional lending models. WVCAP is administered by the West Virginia Jobs Investment Trust.
