The Greater Baltimore region is the 20th largest metropolitan statistical area by population in the U.S. with more than 2.8 million residents, and is Maryland’s economic center, comprising 50 percent of the State GDP. The Region encompasses more than 2,500 square miles of land with a diversity of uses including a deep water port, agriculture, and manufacturing. It occupies a critical location along the I-95 Northeast Corridor, a location that fuels the growth of its diverse industry sectors and the availability of its high-quality talent to support those industries. |
