Turner Universal, a subsidiary of Turner Construction Company, announced the company has been awarded a $51 million contract by the Mobile District of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) for the design and construction of phase four of the Von Braun Complex at Redstone Arsenal, Alabama.

"We bring a strong design-build team, a long and successful history of working with the USACE at Redstone Arsenal, and an innovative and collaborative design-build approach to the table, which help us hit the ground running on this project."
In addition to the Von Braun Missile Defense campus, the project at Redstone Arsenal includes design and construction of a multi-story, 225,000-square-foot administrative facility for the Missile Defense Agency (MDA). Turner expects to break ground this fall.
Turner Universal, the prime contractor on the first and second phases of the complex, is working with design-build partner HNTB Corporation which will provide design services on phase four.

The project will be designed and constructed to achieve LEED® Silver certification.
