FL: New Aviation Firm, TrueAero, Locates to Indian River County

May 01, 2014

The Indian River County Chamber of Commerce announced that TrueAero, an aviation services business, has recently located to Indian River County.  The Indian River County Board of County Commissioners unanimously approved the company’s Local Jobs Grant application at their April 22 meeting.

TrueAero refurbishes, re-certifies and distributes parts from retired aircraft for re-use in the commercial aviation market. The company has already hired six employees and plans to create a total of 21 new jobs over the next 18 months, paying an average wage of over $46,400.  Based on the number of new jobs, the company is eligible to receive up to $63,000 in Jobs Grant funds, paid out over the next several years after the jobs are filled.

“TrueAero exemplifies the entrepreneurial spirit of the small business owner that we love to support here in Indian River County,” commented County Commissioner Chairman Peter O’Bryan.  “The recycling and reusing of aircraft parts fits perfectly with the county’s Certification as a Green Local Government.  Welcome TrueAero!”  Commissioner O’Bryan also serves as the Board’s economic development liaison.

Dean Morgan, President of TrueAero, stated, “We understand the importance the community has to the growth of our business and hope the number of jobs we can create far exceeds anyone’s expectations.  I would like to thank the local chamber for their support; we are looking forward to a long and fruitful relationship.  Indian River County has a historic presence in the Aviation Industry and we are proud to be a part of its future”

The Chamber’s Economic Development Office has worked with company executives to discuss plans and facilitated their Jobs Grant application.  “We are excited to add yet another diversified aviation firm to our corporate environment.  This is the perfect location, especially from a distribution aspect,” added Helene Caseltine, the Chamber’s Economic Development Director.
