Trade & Industry Development Invites Applications for the 2026 CiCi Awards

Jan 13, 2026

Trade & Industry Development, a leading publication dedicated to site selection for businesses, recently opened the submission process for its 2026 Corporate Investment/Community Impact Awards (CiCi Awards). The awards, which are presented annually, honor economic development projects from all across the country for the robust capital investment or influential community impact – or both – they bring to the communities in which they are located, and in which they continue to develop and grow.

The CiCi awards process is open to important new projects (or expansions of existing projects) that were announced in a state or region during the calendar year of 2025. The work need not have begun yet: the project is eligible if it has been approved.

The winning projects will be a mix of large capital investment ventures, ranked by the dollar value of the investment, and effective community impact projects that may be small in dollar value but create wide-ranging positive changes in communities.

Each of the 30 winners (15 for Corporate Investment and 15 for Community Impact) will be featured in Trade & Industry Development’s Q2 issue, which will be available in print and online at TradeAndIndustryDev.com in March of 2026.

“For regions across the U.S. and Canada, the CiCi Awards are an opportunity to highlight projects that are expected to make a difference for communities,” said Trade & Industry Development Publisher Scott Swoger. “It’s also a great way to highlight the expertise and assistance offered by economic development agencies to prospective investors. We invite you to put your project on a marquee so it can serve as an inspirational case study for other economic development agencies or for investors looking for new sites in which to invest.”

The deadline for application is Monday, February 9th. The application is online and may be found at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/GT6KXXB. Please contact Managing Editor Tracey Schelmetic at tschelmetic@duenorthmedia.com with questions.
