AL: Mando America Investing $35M, Adding 67 Jobs as it Continues Growing HQ

At the Opelika City Council meeting, Mayor Gary Fuller announced that Mando America Corporation (MAC), whose North American Headquarters is located in Opelika, will be expanding and adding an additional $35 million for equipment and building improvements over the next three years. The company plans to hire an additional 67 employees to support the expansion. This new investment will bring MAC’s total investment in Opelika to over $190 million and their employment level to near 700.

Opelika Mayor Gary Fuller expressed his appreciation for Mando’s continued investment in Opelika, “We are extremely honored by Mando’s continued confidence in Opelika and the additional investment in our area. This company is one of our largest manufacturing employers and we appreciate the employment opportunities for our citizens.” 

Governor Robert Bentley added his appreciation and congratulations as well, “It is a sign of successful operations when existing industries continue to invest and add additional employees. We will be here to assist Mando through the Alabama Department of Commerce as they continue to grow and employ Alabama citizens.”

Mando’s Opelika operations continue to produce brake corner modules, brake calipers, suspension modules and steering systems to support its customer base located throughout the U.S.
