ID: Jayco to Bring 300 Jobs & Production Facility to Twin Falls

Oct 06, 2017

Jayco®, Inc., a subsidiary of Thor Industries, Inc. and leader in the recreational vehicle industry, will expand its manufacturing footprint in Twin Falls, Idaho, after an extensive site selection search. The expansion is expected to bring approximately 300 jobs to the region by early next year.  Jayco will be partnering with the College of Southern Idaho’s Workforce Development Program to assist with training and on-boarding of new employees.

The expansion, initiated to improve service to dealers in the western U.S. and Canada, maximizes existing synergies built over the past 10 years at their Idaho campus.

“Our executive team considered several western states when searching for the right fit for expansion,” stated Matt Thompson, Chief Operating Officer for Jayco, Inc. “We concluded that capitalizing on the benefits offered in Twin Falls out-weighed benefits outside the state of Idaho. Governor Butch Otter and his team, the Idaho Commerce Department, and Don Hall, Twin Falls County Commissioner, were especially helpful in the process and supported what we were trying to accomplish in the region.”

Jayco is actively searching for qualified job applicants interested in working in a fast-paced, family oriented environment. Typical production hours for the facility are Monday through Friday from 6 AM to 2:30 PM with incentive-based pay averaging $20-22/hour. Qualified applicants are encouraged to apply online or visit the Twin Falls location.

"Jayco put down roots in Twin Falls 12 years ago, and our partnership has continued to flourish over those years," said Shawn Barigar, Mayor of the City of Twin Falls. "This new investment creates quality jobs for more individuals, helping them and their families be successful."

“Jayco’s expansion brings more high-quality jobs and a significant investment to our region, but more importantly, it represents the success of both Jayco and Southern Idaho,” said Don Hall, Twin Falls County Commissioner. “Jayco took a chance on Twin Falls in 2005 and now we’re celebrating their expansion and 12 years of working to manufacture and deliver innovative recreation trailers that are built with craftsmanship right here in Twin Falls.”

“We’re honored to work directly with Jayco as they bring new employment opportunities to Southern Idaho, a testimony to our region’s hardworking professionals and ideal location to do business,” said Connie Stopher, Southern Idaho Economic Development Organization (SIEDO) Executive Director.
