BDO USA, LLP, one of the nation’s leading accounting and consulting firms, announced it will open a 33,000 square-foot business service center at a to-be determined location in Columbus to support the firm’s rapid growth. The firm plans to commence initial hiring in the final quarter of 2016 and plans to expand occupancy and space over time to accommodate more than 400 specialists and supervisory personnel by the end of 2021.
BDO USA is the fastest-growing of all national accounting organizations. In its most recent fiscal year, BDO USA reported revenue of $1.29 billion, an industry-leading 23 percent increase from fiscal year 2015. This represents the third consecutive year that the firm’s revenue has exceeded 20 percent growth and during the past four years, BDO’s revenues have more than doubled from $618 million in 2012 to $1.29 billion today.
In order to support the firm’s rapid growth, BDO USA is establishing a scalable, multi-discipline business service center in Columbus designed to optimize operations, ensure best practices and support professional development across the firm. Upon completion, the Columbus center will initially perform transaction services for BDO’s assurance, tax and business services and outsourcing practices.
