NJ: Quest Diagnostics to Relocate HQ, Consolidate Offices for 600 Employees

Jun 07, 2016

Quest Diagnostics Incorporated, the world's leading provider of diagnostic information services, will relocate its corporate headquarters from Madison, New Jersey, to Secaucus, New Jersey, when its lease expires in September 2017.

The company also will consolidate its corporate support functions in Lyndhurst, New Jersey, with the new headquarters in Secaucus upon expiration of its current lease of that facility, also in September 2017. The new office location will host approximately 600 employees as a result of the consolidation.

"This decision best serves our shareholders and employees," said Steve Rusckowski, President and CEO.  "Our move to Secaucus allows us to retain our New Jersey employees while being in better proximity to public transportation and many of our major healthcare partners.  We have deep roots in New Jersey, and we look forward to continue innovating and empowering better health with diagnostics insights in the Garden State."

Company officials worked closely with New Jersey legislators, the Business Action Center and the Economic Development Authority to maintain its corporate presence in the state after reviewing incentives from other states.

"Quest Diagnostics is a great example of how New Jersey's economic climate gives businesses the opportunity to expand and create jobs," Lt. Governor Kim Guadagno said. "Quest has proven their confidence in our state and as a result will maintain nearly 600 jobs at their new headquarters in Secaucus. I look forward to seeing Quest continue to flourish and continue creating jobs."

Quest's largest laboratory is also located in New Jersey.  The company employs more than 2,300 people throughout the state.
