The casual dining chain, founded in 2014 in Ohio, currently operates 39 restaurants in 13 markets.

Condado Tacos, which specializes in build-your-own tacos, has plans to open 90 to 100 new restaurants by 2026. The casual dining chain, founded in 2014 in Ohio, currently operates 39 restaurants in 13 markets, including in Cincinnati, Cleveland, Columbus, Detroit, Indianapolis, Lexington, Nashville, Pittsburgh, and Charlotte.

The company is planning to open 12 new restaurants in 2023 in six in markets, reports Chain Store Age. The new markets include St. Louis, Mo.; Louisville, Ky.; Knoxville, Tenn.; Greenville, S.C.; and Birmingham, Ala.

In 2020, reports CSA, Condado Tacos announced an investment partnership with New York-based private-equity firm The Beekman Group LLC, saying the partnership would allow the brand to grow into new markets.

"We are thrilled to announce our goal to grow Condado Tacos significantly over the next few years," said Chris Artinian, president and CEO. "Offering clean, craveable, fresh ingredient driven tacos, margs and tequilas at a great value, with an average check of under $20, we provide a full-service dining experience unlike any other, and our partners at The Beekman Group are fully committed to our growth plan within existing and new markets."

Condado is known for its all-inclusive, “Come As You Are” culture. (There are no uniforms for employees.) The company also celebrates communities by working with local artists to hand paint the walls of every new restaurant with one-of-a-kind, floor-to-ceiling murals. The colorful murals reference landmarks and other local features, reports Chain Store Age.
