SC: Palace Foods Launching $5M, 30-New-Jobs Operations in McCormick County

Palace Foods, a specialty food manufacturer, is establishing new operations in McCormick County. The company is expected to invest $5 million in the project and create at least 30 new jobs.

Founded in 1977, Palace Foods manufactures food products that are sold by major retailers and through food service distributors in the United States and Canada. With plans for continued growth, the company is well-positioned to do private label manufacturing and product development, focusing on meat pies, cooked proteins, sous-vide products and ready-to-eat meals.

Located at 8399 S.C. Highway 28 South in Plum Branch, S.C., the company will be establishing a new 20,000-square-foot facility to expand its production in the United States. Production is expected to begin in the spring of 2018, and hiring for the new positions is projected to begin in the fall of 2017.
