“Mid America Logistics’ growth has come from capitalizing on our niche in the freight industry with excellent talent, proprietary software and an operating model engineered to provide a robust and great customer experience,” said Mid America Logistics’ Martin Brading.
An experienced business executive, Brading noted that St. Louis is, “one of the best locations in the nation for Mid America's type of logistics business due to a cost-competitive labor market combined with a ready workforce of well-educated, highly-trainable young people who are relationship-based, which is a key ingredient in our business.”
Brading also noted that the in-house developed software, which manages nearly every operating process from operations to risk, allows Mid America to scale faster than most organizations of its size without being impacted by the usual pitfalls associated with rapid growth.”
“This, coupled with a young and fun working culture along with aggressive remuneration aligned to success, has led to phenomenal staff retention and doubling our revenue year after year, and that will continue for the foreseeable future,” Brading said.
Company revenue grew from $16.9 million in 2013 to $26.8 million last year. This year, Mid America Logistics is already exceeding its target of doubling revenue to $54.2 million.
“St. Louis is the fourth largest inland freight hub in the U.S. and the freight brokerage industry is strong here,” said St. Louis Regional Chamber Director of Logistics and Advanced Manufacturing Louis Copilevitz. “We at the Regional Chamber were so pleased to work with Mid America Logistics and their outstanding team.”
