Tennessee Gov. Bill Haslam and Economic and Community Development Commissioner Bill Hagerty, along with Dot Foods officials announced the company will construct its ninth distribution center in Dyersburg, Tenn. The distribution warehouse will be the company’s first in Tennessee and will be located on State Highway 211 in the Dyersburg Industrial Park. Dot Foods will invest $24 million and create 157 new jobs in Dyer County.

We’re also equally excited to appoint Tim Loyd as the new facility’s general manager.”
The distribution center is scheduled to open in September 2014, and a temporary office will open this fall.. The new facility will be 166,494 square feet in size and include frozen, refrigerated and ambient storage; a 125,000-square-foot warehouse; and a 9,500-square-foot truck and tractor garage. It will service Dot Foods distributor customers in middle and western Tenn., Ala., Miss., Ark., and Western Ky.

Dot Foods and its subsidiary shipping partner Dot Transportation, Inc. (DTI) plan to hire 157 employees within the first three years in Dyersburg. This includes truck drivers, managers, supervisors, management trainees, warehouse workers, garage technicians, maintenance technicians, clerical employees and more.
