Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development Commissioner Bill Hagerty along with Gap Inc. officials announced the company will expand operations at its distribution center in Gallatin, Tenn. Gap Inc. will invest about $35 million at its campus on Gap Boulevard and create about 90 new jobs in Sumner County.
“Gap Inc. is a valued corporate citizen, providing about 2,500 Tennesseans with high quality jobs in 2012 alone,” Hagerty said. “Gap Inc.’s decision to expand its distribution center in Middle Tennessee speaks highly of our state’s central location and world-class infrastructure. The Gallatin campus is one of Gap Inc.’s largest distribution centers and currently provides service to the southern region of the United States for Gap Inc. brands, including Gap and Gap Outlet, Banana Republic and Banana Republic Factory Stores, and Old Navy.
