Tennessee Gov. Bill Haslam and Economic and Community Development Commissioner Bill Hagerty along with New Breed Logistics representatives announced the company will expand its Memphis, Tenn. operations. The expansion represents an investment of $23 million and the creation of 468 warehouse and distribution jobs.
The expansion will occur at the company’s current Memphis facility, located at 4895 Citation Drive, and additional space will be leased at 4585 Quality Drive.
“Our Jobs4TN strategy makes expanding businesses in Tennessee a priority in our efforts to grow jobs, and I want to congratulate New Breed Logistics on their additional investment in Memphis,” Haslam said. “We are thankful to have strong companies like this one continuing to grow in our state and helping us toward our goal of becoming the No. 1 state in the Southeast for high quality jobs.”
“It speaks volumes for Tennessee’s business friendly environment when visionary leaders like Louis DeJoy continue to invest and grow their company in our state,” Hagerty said. “Louis has built a company that is at the forefront of its industry, and we appreciate the hundreds of additional jobs New Breed Logistics will create with this expansion. Founded in 1968 and headquartered in High Point, N.C., New Breed Logistics is a privately held, third-party logistics provider that helps companies design and operate efficient supply chains. The company manages millions of square feet of ISO quality warehouse space across more than 75 distribution centers and employs more than 7,500 people worldwide. Services range from distribution center operations and transportation management to highly sophisticated, technology-enabled solutions for product assembly, reverse logistics and repair, lean manufacturing support, materials management, procurement and aftermarket services.
