Ecodrum™ Composter, a manufacturer of in-vessel mortality composting equipment headquartered in Canada, broke ground on its new facility on Airport Road in Ozark, Arkansas. The company plans to invest $1 million in capital expenditures in the facility and create 12 new, full-time jobs within one year.

“We are very happy to be expanding into a community like Ozark,” said Ecodrum™ CEO Tim Epp, “and we look forward to the relationships we will build with the people here.”

Ecodrum™ is the world’s leading supplier of in-vessel mortality composting equipment. The patented design breaks down swine and poultry carcasses quickly and efficiently for composting while reducing odor and pathogens as well as eliminating ground and water contamination. The company has supplied poultry, turkey and hog producers for more than 10 years.

“More and more international companies are discovering that Arkansans such as the workforce in Ozark have the skills and dedication needed for success,” said Mike Preston, executive director of the Arkansas Economic Development Commission (AEDC). “Canadian companies employ more than 2,600 Arkansans, and we are thrilled to welcome Ecodrum™ to the list.”
