Aug 14, 2018

The Metro Denver Economic Development Corporation (Metro Denver EDC) is thrilled to welcome VF Corporation’s global headquarters to Colorado.

VF Corporation (NYSE: VFC), currently based in Greensboro, North Carolina, announced it is relocating its global headquarters to the Metro Denver region. The headquarters relocation will bring upwards of 800 new jobs to the region.

VF Corporation, a Fortune 250 business, is a global apparel and footwear corporation with more than 30 notable brands within its portfolio, such as The North Face, Vans, JanSport, Timberland, and more.

Working in collaboration with the Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade (OEDIT), the Metro Denver EDC worked with VF Corporation and their site selection team to showcase the region’s competitive workforce, business ecosystem and connectivity through Denver International Airport and FasTracks. The engagements with VF Corporation included meetings with the region’s top business leaders to discuss recruiting and retaining high-skilled talent in Colorado.

“VF Corporation’s announcement today shows that our investment in regional collaboration, a highly skilled workforce, domestic and international connectivity, and creating a vibrant business environment attract global companies to invest in the Metro Denver region,” said J. J. Ament, chief executive officer of the Metro Denver EDC. “A strong business environment combined with an outstanding quality of life make the Metro Denver region the ideal location for global companies like VF Corporation to expand.”

The Metro Denver EDC worked in partnership with the Colorado OEDIT to attract VF Corporation’s headquarters to Colorado.

“Colorado is proud to become global home of VF Corporation, one of the world’s leading lifestyle brands with universal appeal. The company’s commitment to thought leadership, environmental stewardship, social responsibility, and economic impact make VF Corporation a true partner for Colorado’s continued economic success,” said Stephanie Copeland, Executive Director of OEDIT.

VF Corporation’s decision came after months of engagement between OEDIT and Metro Denver EDC. The company is working to finalize their real estate plans for the new global headquarters in Colorado.
