Aug 15, 2018

The Madison County Economic Development Authority (MCEDA) announced this week that Malouf Construction is locating its new headquarters in the Flora Industrial Park, investing $1.7 million over the next three years.  The company plans to relocate or add approximately 25 jobs paying an average annual wage of $70,000 per year.

“We are excited about our new facility and look forward to being part of the Flora community.  We would like to thank Joey Deason and the MCEDA staff, Mayor Childress, the Flora Board of Alderman, and Supervisor David Bishop for their diligent assistance in the land acquisition,” said George Malouf, President of Malouf Construction.  “Our new facilities when complete should serve us well for many years to come.”

Malouf Construction offers a wide range of services in heavy civil and site development, design/build industrial construction, and marine construction over a multiple state market (www.maloufconstruction.com).

"It is a pleasure working with Malouf Construction as the company locates its new headquarters in Flora, creating dozens of new, high-paying careers in Madison County," said Joseph P. Deason, Executive Director of MCEDA.

“We are happy that Malouf Construction selected the Town of Flora for their new headquarters location,” said Leslie Childress, Mayor of Flora.  “We look forward to having the company in our town and look forward to working with them.”

“The Madison County Board of Supervisors is delighted that Malouf Construction has decided to locate their new facility in Madison County,” said David Bishop, District 4 Supervisor of the Madison County Board of Supervisors. “It’s a pleasure to have them in District 4.”

Malouf Construction purchased approximately 27.5 acres in the Flora Industrial Park from the Madison County Economic Development Authority (MCEDA) and will initially build a 6,000 square foot office building with shop, warehouse, and fabrication facilities to follow over the next two to three years. Construction of the office will begin in the fall of 2018 with completion scheduled for the summer of 2019.
