MS: Renin Corp. Expanding in Tupelo, Adding 50 Jobs

May 30, 2017

Renin Corporation is expanding in Tupelo, Mississippi, to help facilitate the company’s growth strategy with major U.S. retailers, distributors and fabricators. The expansion is a $1 million corporate investment and creates 50 jobs.

“Renin’s decision to expand in Tupelo speaks to the teamwork and dedication of economic developers at the state and local levels who work together to bring new jobs to Mississippians,” Governor Phil Bryant said.

Renin, a manufacturer of interior barn doors, closet doors, hardware, will retain the 53 jobs currently in place in Tupelo in addition to the 50 new jobs being created.

“Renin has a long history with the city of Tupelo, and we are excited to expand our business and reinvest in a community that has supported us over the years,” said Renin Chairman and CEO Shawn Pearson. “This would not have been possible without the dedicated work and commitment of our employees and the Mississippi Development Authority.”

The Mississippi Development Authority is providing assistance to relocate equipment to the Tupelo facility.

“Lee County has achieved significant economic growth in recent years.  As an international innovative manufacturer, Renin Corporation’s expansion continues that momentum, evidence of Lee County’s leadership investment in community development which paves the way for additional career opportunities for the people of the Lee county region,” said MDA Executive Director Glenn McCullough, Jr. “We salute our partners at the Community Development Foundation for their teamwork with Renin Corporation and MDA to bring this win to Lee County.”

Renin expects to fill the 50 jobs within the next 24 months.
