Omar, Inc. Adds 15 Jobs Now, Up to 100 Later

Omar, Inc. is establishing a presence in Coffee County as the new owner of Oak Gloves, located in the Tullahoma Industrial Park.

Omar, Inc. took ownership of the 100-year-old Oak Gloves in February 2009. Willie Wilson, CEO of Omar, Inc. founded the company in 1997 as a worldwide distributor of industrial, medical and food service products. Their largest product offering is disposable gloves followed by trashcan liners.

In 2008, Oak Gloves employed 35 employees, but the acquisition by Omar, Inc. has already increased the workforce by 15 new employees. There are plans to hire an additional 90-100 employees in 2009 to accommodate growing manufacturing capacity.
