Bondex, Inc., a globally recognized manufacturer of thermally bonded nonwoven substrates, is expanding its manufacturing operations in Edgefield County. The project is expected to bring $11.5 million in new investment and lead to the creation of 17 new jobs.
Founded in 1996, Bondex, Inc. produces thermally bonded nonwoven substrates for the filtration, medical and electrical industries. Additionally, utilizing state-of-the-art horizontal lamination technology, along with precision vertical coating towers, Bondex offers a wide range of high-quality, flexible laminate insulation material servicing the electrical market.

The Coordinating Council for Economic Development awarded Edgefield County a Set-Aside grant of $100,000 to assist with the costs of building construction.
