SC: Reliable Automatic Sprinkler to Invest $23M, Hire 100 in Pickens County

Reliable Automatic Sprinkler Co., Inc., one of the world's largest producers of automatic fire sprinklers, is expanding its existing operations in Pickens County. The new development is expected to bring $23.1 million in capital investment and lead to the creation of 100 jobs. Reliable's plant will be expanded by 150,000 square feet to bring their total facility space to 452,000 square feet.

Founded in 1920 and headquartered in Elmsford, N.Y., Reliable Automatic Sprinkler Co., Inc. is a third-generation owned company, which manufactures automatic fire sprinklers and is a major distributor of sprinkler system components. The company has operations across the United States, as well as in England, Germany, Singapore, China, Australia and the United Arab Emirates.

The company's Pickens County facility is located at 1470 Smith Grove Road in Liberty, S.C. This project represents its second announced expansion since establishing operations in Pickens County in 2006.
