IN: Two Companies Pick Clark County for Growth, 40 New Jobs

Jun 09, 2015

Two companies announced plans to expand their operations in southeast Indiana, creating up to 40 new jobs in Clark County.

“Indiana has lowered taxes and cut red tape to make it easier for businesses across the state to succeed,” said Victor Smith, Indiana Secretary of Commerce. “Fueled by demand from their customers, Weber Group and Century Industries are embracing the opportunities Indiana offers to grow and create new jobs for Hoosiers.”

Design and construction company Weber Group will invest $1.6 million to renovate and equip its 25,000-square-foot facility at the Sellersburg Industrial Park, adding roughly 6,400 square feet of production space. The company, which provides architecture, construction management and specialty fabrications of all types for branded and themed environments, fine art fabrications and manufacturing, will leverage its growth to meet rising demand from a national client base in the culture, leisure and entertainment sectors. Expecting to begin construction this summer, the company plans to have its expansion complete within 90 days. Weber Group, which currently employs 64 full-time associates, is currently hiring for project management and other positions, with plans to create up to 25 new jobs by 2018. Century Industries LLC was offered up to $125,000 in conditional tax credits based on the company’s job creation plans.
