SC: Synergy Steel to Locate New Operations in Lancaster County, Hire 139

8 Aug, 2018

Synergy Steel announced plans to establish new operations in Lancaster County, South Carolina. The $2.8 million investment is projected to create 139 new positions.

Synergy Steel provides solutions to the housing and construction industry through the collaboration of light gauge steel manufacturing and innovative framing and panelization techniques. Synergy Steel's process of utilizing 3D modeling software to construct engineered products provides a solution to the industry's rising construction costs and skilled labor shortage.

Located at 1312 Camp Creek Road in Lancaster, S.C., Synergy Steel's new, 32,000-square-foot facility will manufacture steel studs, engineered floor and roof trusses and wall panels for the construction industry. The process will involve a series of roller machines that will produce the final product, which will then be panelized before leaving the facility. Hiring for the new positions is expected to begin in the fourth quarter of 2018, and interested applicants should visit the company's website for more information.

The Coordinating Council for Economic Development has approved job development credits related to this project.
