Economic and Community Development Commissioner Bill Hagerty and Nashville Mayor Karl Dean announced today that Harris Research, Inc. (HRI) is establishing a new regional headquarters in Nashville. The company, which offers franchises under the in-home consumer services brands Chem-Dry and N-Hance, will create 30 new jobs and invest more than $1 million in its new 8,500 square foot space in the Braid Building in Nashville’s Gulch area.
“Governor Bill Haslam and I would like to thank HRI for investing in Tennessee and its citizens,” Hagerty said. “With our quality workforce and business friendly climate, our state is well on its way to achieving the governor’s goal of becoming the No. 1 location in the Southeast for high quality jobs. We look forward to working with the Chem-Dry and N-Hance brands along with CEO Dan Tarantin and his executive team as they establish and grow their presence in Middle Tennessee.”
“I am pleased to welcome HRI to Nashville,” Dean said. “The company’s selection of Nashville for its regional headquarters is a testament to the vibrancy of our city, the talented workforce available here and the business-friendly environment that has made our city one of the most attractive places for business growth in the country. Chem-Dry and N-Hance will be excellent additions to the corporate community in Nashville.”
Chem-Dry, the world’s leading carpet and upholstery cleaner and N-Hance, a revolutionary wood renewal system, have more than 4,200 franchises in 43 countries. The company’s new location will house its finance, franchise administration group, franchise sales, marketing and international divisions.
“Nashville proved to be a great fit for our brands in choosing our new regional headquarters location,” said Dan Tarantin, president and CEO of Chem-Dry parent company HRI. “The area offers a deep pool of talent to build departments that are crucial to our company’s success. This location will also allow us to have a greater presence on the Eastern half of the U.S. and offer franchisee training in Nashville.”
The first 20 jobs are set to be hired in the next 60-90 days with an additional 10-12 jobs by the end of the year. Those interested in applying for positions in any of the above mentioned departments are encouraged to send a resume to email@example.com.
“We are excited to welcome HRI to Nashville and add another outstanding regional corporate headquarters to our roster of great companies calling Middle Tennessee home,” Ralph Schulz, president and CEO, Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce, said. “Nashville continues to be an attractive home to creative, enthusiastic and profitable talent as well being a wonderful location to live, work and play. We are proud to partner with the state of Tennessee on this great win for the city and the state.”
HRI offers franchises under the Chem-Dry brand that includes in-home and commercial services such as carpet and upholstery cleaning, specialty spot removal, area rug cleaning, and carpet protectants. The company also franchises N-Hance, an innovative and affordable wood renewal system for cabinets and floors.
Entrepreneur Magazine has ranked Chem-Dry No. 1 in its category for 21 years in a row, and the company has been named to the top 100 global franchises by Franchise Direct.
