CT: Comcast Unveils New Interactive Xfinity Customer Service Center

Comcast held a special reception and ribbon-cutting event to announce the grand opening of its interactive Xfinity Customer Service Center in West Hartford.  The 6,000 square foot center has been designed entirely around the needs of customers, providing them with an opportunity to explore, learn about and interact directly with the latest Xfinity products and services.

Elected officials and community leaders including West Hartford Town Manager Ronald Van Winkle, West Hartford Town CouncilorsDenise Hall and Leon Davidoff and PURA Chairman Arthur House came out to help celebrate the opening and tour the new space. NBC Connecticut Meteorologist Bob Maxon was the Master of Ceremonies. Peter N. Stevens, Chairman of the Board of The Children's Museum, was also in attendance to accept a $10,000 donation to the museum, as part of Comcast's commitment to giving back in the communities it serves.

"We're proud to be a part of the West Hartford community and to provide our customers with a convenient place where they can experience our Xfinity products and services firsthand and check out the latest technology in an interactive environment," said Mary McLaughlin, Senior Vice President of Comcast's Western New England Region, which includes Connecticut.  "This new model not only has a more welcoming design, but a new attitude as we apply the same mindset of innovation, speed and reliability that our customers love about our products to our customer service."

In addition to yesterday's ribbon-cutting ceremony, Comcast will also hold a special Family Day at the West Hartford Xfinity Customer Service Center on Saturday, October 25 from 11 am – 3 pm for local residents. This family-friendly event will include live animals presented by the West Hartford Children's Museum, a magician, a cupcake truck and raffle prizes and giveaways.

The new, interactive Xfinity Customer Service Center, the fourth of its kind in Connecticut, is conveniently located off Route 84 in West Hartford and features flat screen HD TVs, a comfortable seating area and informational kiosks where customers can learn more about Comcast's products and services, including Xfinity Home. Product bars also provide customers with the opportunity to watch Xfinity TV, test drive Xfinity Internet speeds and experience the Xfinity Voice service. Additionally, customers will receive personalized service from trained and knowledgeable Sales Consultants and more time-saving offerings, including self-service kiosks for quick bill pay and a new queuing system that allows customers to explore and be entertained while waiting for service.

The West Hartford Xfinity Customer Service Center is located at 1253 New Britain Avenue and open Monday through Saturday from 9 am – 7 pm and Sunday from 11 am – 5 pm.
