Jun 06, 2012

CHR Solutions, Inc., the leading provider of engineering, managed services, BSS/OSS and cloud technology to communications service providers (CSPs), announced the company will create 170 new jobs over the next five years in Mitchell, South Dakota. The South Dakota Governor's Office of Economic Development (GOED), and the Mitchell Area Development Corporation (MADC), worked jointly with CHR Solutions on this business expansion project. CHR Solutions also expects to increase its workforce, and expand employee training, at both its Sioux Falls and Rapid City locations in the coming years.

"This business expansion is great news for the state of South Dakota. Not only is CHR Solutions creating 170 jobs in Mitchell, it's already teeing up job growth in both Sioux Falls and Rapid City," said Governor Dennis Daugaard. "CHR Solutions is committed to South Dakota and recognizes the value of the South Dakota workforce."

CHR Solutions need for a trained and skilled workforce, as well as the opportunity to create new jobs in South Dakota, was the focus of the local and state business development assistance. Through this project, the company plans to double their Mitchell data center footprint and quadruple its computing capacity.

Jobs created by this expansion include data center and network support personnel, software support center staff, IT managed services support center personnel, customer support representatives, bill print expansion staff, trainers, software as a service support personnel, and administrative support.

"CHR Solutions continues to invest in the state of South Dakota because its leaders truly understand the value of the state's workforce and the importance of lowering the overall cost of doing business," said James Taylor, Chairman and CEO, CHR Solutions. "This project reinforces our long-term presence in Mitchell which houses our largest facility, with the most employees. Working collaboratively, CHR Solutions will provide a positive impact on the economic development of the state of South Dakota, while growing our overall business."

Recent studies have ranked South Dakota as one of the best states to do business and as one of the highest in quality of life. CNBC ranked South Dakota third in business friendliness and the Small Business and Entrepreneurship Council ranked the state number one in their annual Small Business Survival Index report. Assistance provided to CHR Solutions will help the state accomplish its goal of expanding employment opportunities and promoting continued business growth in South Dakota.

"Building the workforce is the number one economic development issue we face today and we expect this to continue over the next few decades," said Bryan Hisel, Executive Director, Mitchell Area Development Corporation. "Mitchell Area Development is dedicated to assisting existing companies in Mitchell such as CHR Solutions to help create high quality jobs in our regional economy."

CHR Solutions is committed to helping rural communities across the country grow revenue, reduce costs, improve operations, manage risk, and align technology. The company's expected growth comes from two economic realities. First, its rural communications service provider clients plan to increase their local revenue by offering new IT services powered by CHR's cloud computing network. Second, CSPs will shift certain fixed costs to BPO (business process outsourcing) providers, such as CHR Solutions, to handle tasks including billing and printing, regulatory filings and reports, cost recovery, accounting and network provisioning.
