MedImmune, a global leader in manufacturing medications targeted to infectious diseases, cancer and inflammatory diseases, will build its new biologics manufacturing facility in Frederick, Maryland. The company already has a significant presence in the state with its corporate headquarters in Gaithersburg, Maryland and a biomanufacturing facility in Frederick. With this expansion, it plans to add up to 840 new jobs in the state by 2008.
