AL: Entrepreneurial Learning, Innovation Facility Opens in Montgomery

Sep 09, 2021
Recently, the Montgomery Area Chamber of Commerce opened the doors to The Lab on Dexter, a new state-of-the-art entrepreneurial learning and innovation facility located on one of America’s most historically significant streets – Dexter Avenue. A stone’s throw from the Alabama Capitol and at the crossroads of our nation’s civil and human rights journey, it will allow entrepreneurs to collaborate to create a sustainable social and tech innovation ecosystem and diversify the local economy.

The Lab will feature small business suites and co-working spaces for lease, collaboration, and tech and entrepreneurial training space and will serve as a home for the Montgomery TechLab Accelerator. Programs housed at the Lab will give tech and innovation professionals and entrepreneurs access to resources, networking opportunities, capital, and equipment.

This facility is an outgrowth of TechMGM initiatives and is part of a partnership with the City of Montgomery, Montgomery County, Alabama Power, and the Montgomery TechLab to develop a long-lasting tech and innovation culture and help establish Montgomery’s position as a center of innovation, entrepreneurship, and a recognized center of excellence for our nation’s defense.
