Nucor Tubular Products will proceed immediately with an expansion of its Trinity, Ala., division. The $27.2 million expansion will include new production, finishing, processing and packaging equipment, and will grow the workforce to support the new operations. The new investment will add about 35 new jobs.
"We are very excited about the expansion at Nucor Tubular Products in Lawrence County," said Tabitha Pace, president and CEO of the Lawrence County Industrial Development Board. "Nucor, formerly Independence Tube Corporation, has been a wonderful industrial partner. The announcement of new investment and 35 new jobs is encouraging for our community. They are a tremendous asset to our area, and I look forward to working with them even more in the future to help their company grow and succeed. Thank you to Nucor Tubular Products for making the decision to expand in Lawrence County."
"We would like to thank the Industrial Development Board of Lawrence County, Alabama Department of Commerce and TVA Economic Development for their support of this project," Nucor officials said.
