AR: Central States Inc. Opens New Frame Manufacturing Plant in Springdale, With 50 Jobs

Aug 08, 2025

Central States Inc. has officially opened its new state-of-the-art steel frame manufacturing plant, supporting its Central States Building Works division, in Springdale, Arkansas.

The company has invested more than $24 million in the steel frame plant. It is expected to create approximately 50 new jobs in 2025 with plans to grow to 140 employees as additional shifts and capabilities are added.

“This facility is more than just a building—it’s a symbol of our commitment to innovation, our people, and our customers,” said Jennifer Davis, President of Central States Building Works. “We’re proud to bring new jobs, new technology and we’re just getting started.”

Company executives, state officials, and community leaders attended a ribbon-cutting for the new facility on August 7. The facility was announced during a groundbreaking event in November 2023.

“As businesses expand in nearly every corner of our state, the demand for residential and commercial spaces grows, and it’s manufacturing companies like Central States that meet those needs,” said Governor Sanders. “Congratulations on the opening of your new frame plant, and thank you for your ongoing commitment to the Natural State.”

The Springdale facility, located at 1546 Kendrick Avenue in Springdale, is Central States’ 12th manufacturing site. The 105,000-square-foot facility is designed to support Central States’ pre-engineered metal building (PEMB) business and features advanced steel structure manufacturing technologies, including advanced welding systems and automated robotics designed to meet exacting standards while reducing lead times.

“Central States is cutting the ribbon on a new $24 million, state-of-the-art manufacturing facility, which will create new job opportunities in Springdale, Arkansas,” said Clint O’Neal, executive director of the Arkansas Economic Development Commission. “This is a great day for Central States and for the City of Springdale. This new facility is a big win that will help drive growth both for the company and the community.”

“This project is just the latest example of how private and public investment can come together to promote technology advances and generate job growth in Springdale,” said Bill Rogers, president and CEO of the Springdale Chamber of Commerce. “Affordable city-owned land combined with municipal infrastructure investment, created an ideal scenario for Central States Building Works Frame Plant to place this exceptional facility here. With AEDC's assistance, we were able to push this great project across the finish line.”
