DE: Berkley Technology Services to Open Data Center in Wilmington, Create 17 New Jobs

Berkley Technology Services, a subsidiary of W. R. Berkley Corporation, will open a new office at 101 Bellevue Parkway in Wilmington. The newly leased 70,000‐ square‐foot space will allow the company to expand its data center and information technology services, and create 17 new jobs by December 2013.

In July 2011, BTS was awarded a $433,568 grant from the Delaware Strategic Fund to support capital expenditures and create jobs at the site. The acquisition was facilitated by Tripp Way, principal of real estate company NAI Emory Hill. The new data center will be open early next year.

"We’re pleased Berkley Technology Services is expanding its operations in Delaware and will create new jobs," said Alan Levin, director of the Delaware Economic Development Office. “We worked with Emory Hill to help the company make the move possible, one that will support the company’s growth and contribute to our state’s economic future."

BTS currently employs 63 people in Delaware. The new jobs will include technical and helpdesk support, computer engineers and senior managers.

NAI Emory Hill is a division of the Emory Hill Companies, which is celebrating its 30th anniversary of serving Delaware and the Mid-Atlantic region providing real estate services including commercial brokerage, construction, property management, maintenance and residential real estate sales.
