About City of Pinellas Park
Pinellas Park continues to experience steady population growth and transformation in the ways we all live, work and have fun. We maintain small town charm along with having big city amenities. Pinellas Park has optimal investment opportunities and prime locations for development. The City is economically strong and affordable for both businesses and residents. The City enjoys a favorable business climate including educational services, health care, defense, social assistance, as well as, retail and manufacturing. We attribute our growth to exceptional quality of life, favorable weather, clean air and water, leisure services and our overall proximity as the hub for Pinellas County's industrial and logistics center. As we are thoughtfully redeveloping, our priorities include high quality infrastructure, reasonable tax climate, skilled labor force attraction and efficient processes that will get businesses open and operating as soon as possible.
We further pride ourselves on having premium recreational services and culturally enriched events. Our parks system consists of over 230 acres in which the public may engage in outdoor pursuits. In addition, we have 10 miles of well maintained equestrian trails and an equestrian center for the approximately 700 horses located within the community. In the near future, we will break ground on a state-of-the-art sports complex that will be located on 39 acres of City land, a major driver for a robust future sports tourism market. The City is also home to the Pinellas Park Performing Arts Center and the Pinellas Arts Village, two popular venues where you can absorb the diverse culture of our area.
The City operates under a Council/Manager form of government and has a professional staff of just over 500 employees. There are 12 city departments to include its own Police and Fire Departments. The mission of Pinellas Park is to provide superior yet cost-effective municipal services to our community through teamwork, a “can do” attitude, continual improvement and genuine respect for all people.
