FL: $38 Million Compass by Margaritaville Hotel Breaks Ground in Cape Canaveral

Aug 03, 2026

Construction has started on a $38 million Margaritaville Hotel in Cape Canaveral, which will feature 150 guest rooms, signature restaurant and bar. The hotel is expected to attract cruise passengers traveling through Port Canaveral, beachgoers, business travelers, and tourists visiting the Kennedy Space Center and other Space Coast destinations

The Compass by Margaritaville brand is designed to provide travelers with a relaxed resort atmosphere while serving as a convenient destination for vacationers visiting Florida’s beaches, cruise terminals, and nearby attractions.

City officials and developers say the project represents another significant investment in Brevard County’s tourism economy, which continues to experience growth fueled by the region’s expanding cruise industry, frequent rocket launches, and year-round visitors, reports SpaceCoastDaily.com.

Once completed, the hotel will add 150 rooms to Cape Canaveral’s lodging inventory while creating new jobs during both construction and ongoing hotel operations.

The Compass by Margaritaville development joins a growing list of new hotels and hospitality projects helping accommodate increasing visitor demand along Florida’s Space Coast.
