Francisca Charcoal Chicken & Meats is set to open a dozen locations this year in Florida. The Latin food concept's new restaurants will include Orlando, Davie, Miramar and Miami's Brickell and Kendall neighborhoods. Other locations will be announced later in the year.
"The growth of Francisca Restaurant, a brand with a Venezuelan stamp, is due to the immense support we have received since our opening," Francisca CEO Jesús Pita said. "After hundreds of requests, we decided to open more locations in other cities in Florida." The restaurant is part of Miami-based Bocas Group, the restaurant company behind concepts including Bocas Grill and Doral Steakhouse, reports the Orlando Business Journal.
There are currently three Francisca restaurants, all in South Florida. The first opened four years ago in Doral, followed by a second in Miami Lakes. Francisca's website lists locations opening soon in Miramar and Davie.
Bocas Group CEO Levin de Grazia said the company hopes to expand Francisca through licensing deals and is looking for small and medium-size businesses to license the name for more locations throughout the state.
