Metal-finishing company Incertec is shifting its operations from Titusville to a revamped plant in Edgewater. The $8 million renovation is expected to add dozens of new manufacturing jobs. Incertec serves aerospace and defense clients.
According to a resolution from the City of Edgewater, the new manufacturing facility will be in southeast Volusia County. The company, which operates plating, anodizing, and heat-treating facilities across the U.S., has applied for Volusia County's Water Quality Infrastructure Grant to help pay for required wastewater-treatment upgrades. The document projects roughly 150 jobs in Volusia County and estimates about $60 million in annual direct economic output once the plant is fully staffed, reports Hoodline.
Incertec expects to relocate about 60 employees from the Titusville site and to hire about 110 new workers for the Edgewater operation, reports the Orlando Business Journal.
