FL: Probes Unlimited to Locate Manufacturing in Holmes Co., With 18 Jobs

May 27, 2021
The Holmes County Development Commission (HCDC) announces the location of Probes Unlimited, Inc. (PUI), a manufacturer of OEM Sensing Devices, to Holmes County, Fla. PUI, a Pennsylvania-based company that designs and manufactures highly accurate, custom temperature OEM sensing devices for industries such as commercial food service equipment, pellet technology, BBQ equipment, scientific instrumentation, aerospace instrumentation, factory automation, and green technologies, chose to expand its manufacturing operations to the emerging advanced manufacturing technology space at the former Bonifay Middle School building located at 165 Telfair Street.

“We are excited to select Holmes County, Fla. as our new location in the Southeastern US to support PUI’s growth,” said Ernie DeLany, President/CEO of PUI. “Expansion into a community and region that offers a business-focused environment with a population ready to work was key in the selection of Bonifay and Northwest Florida.”

“We are very excited to have Probes Unlimited expand to our community with its new manufacturing facility,” said Joe Rone, Executive Director of the HCDC. “These are great jobs that offer benefits and bonuses which will improve the quality of life for those in our community. With the help of the Holmes County School Board, the County Commissioners and the Sheriff’s department, we were able to reutilize our county’s resources by renovating the former Middle School into light industrial and office space for government and private use, attracting companies, just like Probes Unlimited, to our county.”

“PUI’s choice of Holmes County is a great example of Northwest Florida’s ability to stimulate economic growth through targeted industries and strategic areas. In this case, it is manufacturing that supports a variety of Original Equipment Manufacturers,” said Jennifer Conoley, president & CEO of Florida’s Great Northwest, the region’s economic development organization. “We’re delighted that our business environment and resources can attract companies like PUI to Northwest Florida.”

PUI’s management team plans to initially employee 18 manufacturing assemblers. Employment opportunities will be available in the immediate future.
