IN: Software Consulting Firm Growing in Hamilton County, Adding Jobs

Aug 04, 2021
Leaf Software Solutions Inc., a software consulting firm, announced plans to expand its central Indiana office, creating up to 60 new, high-wage jobs by the end of 2024.

“From global giants to local startups, tech businesses are thriving in Indiana while pulling from our deep pool of highly educated, highly trained talent,” said Jim Staton, SVP and chief business development officer for the Indiana Economic Development Corporation (IEDC). “Indiana is proud of its Hoosier-born businesses that provide quality career opportunities, and we look forward to supporting the company's exciting continued growth."

Carmel-based Leaf Software Solutions is investing more than $2.7 million to upgrade its 18,000 square feet of office space at 14300 Clay Terrace Blvd. The improved space will enable the company to onboard software development talent and accommodate an increased demand for custom software solutions and financial software services, as well as customer relationship management (CRM), sales and operations solutions.

“Carmel and central Indiana has been our home for over 30 years,” said Leaf Software Solutions President Chad Hankinson. “The pool of talent is excellent, and the technology ecosystem is sound. We’re committed and happy to continue to grow right here at home.”

To support its growth, the company, which currently employs associates exclusively in Indiana, is hiring software developers and technology professionals. Interested applicants can learn more on the company’s website.

Founded in 1987, Leaf Software Solutions provides custom software applications, financial business software, as well as CRM, sales and operations solutions to businesses across a variety of industries. The company was recently named to the Indiana Chamber of Commerce’s 2021 Best Places to Work in Indiana, marking its 10th time receiving the award. Earlier this year, Leaf Software Solutions was also one of five Indiana-based companies selected to provide services on a 10-year, $12.6 billion Department of Defense contract.

"We are thrilled to celebrate another expansion of one of our high-tech software firms, which continues to grow in Carmel," said Carmel Mayor Jim Brainard. "We have worked hard to build a high-quality community designed to attract corporate headquarters and software firms like Leaf Software Solutions. Today’s announcement shows that our 20-year effort to invest in the public arts, schools, parks and trails in order make Carmel the best place to live continues to pay off for companies seeking to attract a highly skilled workforce that can choose anywhere to live. We are happy to see Leaf Software Solutions succeed, and we look forward to watching them continue to grow.”

The IEDC offered Leaf Software Solutions Inc. up to $1.5 million in conditional tax credits based on the company’s job creation plans. These tax credits are performance-based, meaning the company is eligible to claim incentives once Hoosiers are hired. The city of Carmel supports the project.

Indiana is leading a Midwest tech transformation with more than 87,000 tech industry jobs contributing $16.2 billion to the state’s economy every year.
