The Indiana Economic Development Corporation has been notified that the Whirlpool Corporation will keep its refrigeration product development center in Evansville, a move which preserves more than 275 professional positions.
The IEDC offered the Whirlpool Corporation $50,000 in training grants and will allow the company to retain $1.1 million in previously awarded tax credits provided it maintains operations in Evansville through 2013.
